Monday Mural

An elephant with attributes in his hands to make a mural. The numbers 30 belong to this image I suppose, I can't tell more about it. The black name above is just vandalisme I think,

  1. Maybe that is the painter's name of the elephant?? Interesting enough, but is this a business whose walls have been vandalized or a house. I can see wall murals, and enjoy them mostly, but vandalism just not my thing. I am sure not all business owners like to see their building walls decorated like this, eh.

  2. This is a little like Ganesh, street artist Ganesh.. I wonder what the thinking behind it was Marianne. Such a shame about the tagging.

  6. Yup, it sure does resemble India's Ganeesh!
I am STILL recovering from the flu; been a difficult time. As soon as I feel better, I will get out to take some photos.

  7. I ad to look for the numbers. Strange! It's too bad people can't leave things alone.

  8. The antropomorphic elephant is the Hindu god Ganesh and what looks like a 30 is the representation of the sacred sound Om.

  9. How interesting and I'm glad to see the explanation in the comments. I wish there was a way to stop the taggers though!

  10. It certainly does look like Ganesh. The taggers need a smack upside the head.

  11. I am always amazed at the murals you come up with and that they are so plentiful. And you have captured Ganesh for us!

  12. Glad the commenters could give explanations. It is sad that it has been spoiled by taggers.I thought graffiti artists didn't vandalise other artist's work. Maybe not there.

  13. Thanks for pointing out what are in Ganesh's hands. Otherwise, I think I would have missed the humor of this image. Thanks for contributing to this week's Monday Mural.

  14. Dearest Marianne,
Initial art of putting the deity Ganesh on the wall was great... Too bad that others ruin it.
    Hugs,
