Monday Mural

The Stedelijk Museum in Amsterdam has, I thought, a huge mural in the hallway. However when I did some research on internet I found out it is a tapestry!

It is designed by Petra Blaisse, founder of the Inside Outside office and is 14 meters high. It covers the rear wall of the restaurant and ends in the entrance hall. Linking to MondayMural.
This is a link to a video about the tapestry http://vimeo.com/45127018

  1. Very impressive. Color isn't necessary to attract you attention. Tom The Backroads Traveller

  7. I initially thought it was a metal artwork.. .. it is certainly different. Large tapestries are very intriguing.

  11. A tapestry? No way! It looks as if it could be made in several other media. But I never would have guessed fiber. Extraordinary. Thanks for contributing to this week's Monday Mural.
