Every generation has their fad. Usually they are short lived.
Having comparatively large feet, shoes, for me, were necessarily more about function than form.
In never know the trend anymore. Although when my girls visit I am amazed at some of their shoes!
I like the ones that fellow is wearing - the dark sneaker with the white sole. Mine are bright blue with yellow laces. ha,ha
I think the white sneaker will never go out of fashion Marianne, a bit like denim jeans :)
Perhaps it's not just American tourists who wear them, as I have been told. Looks like they are popular with everyone. PS. My internet is spotty at my Méxican condo so I might not be able to comment every day.
White sneakers? They look to be the casual kind, not the walking and running kind. Not sure that will be a trend here anytime soon. I think the colored ones are more fun.
I don't think I have ever had a pair...I am so out of it.
I don't know the trend- I tend to alternate between black dress shoes and hiking shoes from spring through fall.
Easy shoes when one's on holidays , with lot of strolls to walk .But I guess the white are more for Young people .
Oops, I've never had white sneakers.
Dat lijkt me inderdaad duidelijk! ;)
We keep here white sneakers in summer. But young people keep what they want to keep on.I wonder those two who haven't a cap, because it seems very cold.
Dearest Marianne,As long as they are (almost) plain white or plain black, I like sneakers but not all those loud colored ones!Hugs,Mariette
