A new beach

Last weekend we visited the little city of Harderwijk a historic place situated at the IJssel lake. The former fishing harbour had undergone a renovation and a beach was created along the waterfront.

The sand looked brand new with nice paterns.

The weather was sunny but still a bit chilly but these girls didn't mind.

Boys don't have the patience to sit still and enjoyed themselves with stones throwing up the water.

And the little ones always take the hard way.

    They racked the beach and everyone can play - how wonderful is this. I like the stone breakwater too - very beautiful indeed.

    Obviously well designed judging how people have just fallen into patterns of use that make it looks like it has always been there.

    What a brilliant idea Marianne I can see this being a very popular idea.. I love walking on the beach when it's a little chilly.

    What's it going to look like when it gets warm. there are many eager beach goers when it's cold.
