A sign in many languages in the Vondelpark in Amsterdam for lost and found items.
There were not so much found items attached to the fence so this lady decided to hang some easter eggs with ribbons on it. You can read more at the website www.vindhek.com of artist Annemarieke Weber who invented the fence.

There's always an artist. :-)
BeantwoordenVerwijderenFirst time I have seen something like this. I think it would be very useful and helpful if we had them in the parks here.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenThis honesty lost and found fence is just lovely - many things are found in parks etc, so this is a great idea. You always find the neatest things Marianne. lol
BeantwoordenVerwijderenWhat a great idea. It is nice to know there are honest people around. What a neat fence.. Have a happy day!
BeantwoordenVerwijderenLove that idea, it should be adopted in all the parks. Didn't see it when I visited Vondelpark, what a pity.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenNice idea, never hear.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenInteresting that there is no concern for whether people will just take something they like the looks of. But I guess it does encourage honesty?
BeantwoordenVerwijderenWhat a grand idea! I like her little touches to dress it up too! We have a tree here that people tie ribbons on and make wishes for loved ones on them. Maybe she's doing that as well!
BeantwoordenVerwijderenWhat good ideas! (both this fence , and the lady hanging eggs ..)
BeantwoordenVerwijderenWat een leuk idee! Nog niet eerder gezien.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenNow that's a good idea for lost and found. Usually people return in a few minutes to where they lost something. if it's hanging on a fence it's easy to find.
BeantwoordenVerwijdereninteresting idea for found items, I wonder if many ever get found
BeantwoordenVerwijderenWhat a clever idea to hang up the found items.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenThat is an excellent idea and good to have the sign in so many languages.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenThere are always some lost hats and gloves in my neighborhood. Sad b/c most people probably don't remember where they lost something. A central place like this would be helpful!
BeantwoordenVerwijderenWhat a neat idea! Tom The Backroads Traveller
BeantwoordenVerwijderenThat is a very different idea!
BeantwoordenVerwijderenI remember seeing this when I was in Amsterdam in September. There weren't many things attached then, either.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenWhat a fine idea for a park. There must be hats and gloves lost and found all the time.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenI like all the flags in the signboard.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenMy SIGNS, SIGNS
Dearest Marianne,
BeantwoordenVerwijderenReally? A fence for Lost & Found items where people can check if they lost something in the park. Great idea.
Hugs,
Mariette
What a great idea! Indeed.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenDear Marianne, thank you for all enthousiastic reactions and compliments your blog evokes on my interactive Vindhek Vondelpark Findfence. “This lady” in your photo is the artist who invented the Vindhek or Findfence in 2005 herself: Annemarieke Weber.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenI decorated the Findfence temporarily for my photoseries of people reacting, to be seen on the Vindhek website: MEET. Learn more at Vindhek dot com in English, Dutch, French, Italian and Spanish or on You Tube - reportage of Japanese TV -, Twitter and Facebook.
Happy to see people understanding and grasping the concept op Respect, Honesty and Trust immediately
Bedankt voor je reactie ik heb de website toegevoegd in het bericht hierboven. Ik had niet verwacht zoveel reacties er op te krijgen, maar het slaat internationaal erg aan. Leuk he.
VerwijderenGroeten, Marianne
It's a great idea if people use it.
