Find fence

A sign in many languages in the Vondelpark in Amsterdam for lost and found items.

There were not so much found items attached to the fence so this lady decided to hang some easter eggs with ribbons on it. You can read more at the website www.vindhek.com of artist Annemarieke Weber who invented the fence.

  1. First time I have seen something like this. I think it would be very useful and helpful if we had them in the parks here.

  4. Love that idea, it should be adopted in all the parks. Didn't see it when I visited Vondelpark, what a pity.

  5. Interesting that there is no concern for whether people will just take something they like the looks of. But I guess it does encourage honesty?

  6. What a grand idea! I like her little touches to dress it up too! We have a tree here that people tie ribbons on and make wishes for loved ones on them. Maybe she's doing that as well!

  9. Now that's a good idea for lost and found. Usually people return in a few minutes to where they lost something. if it's hanging on a fence it's easy to find.

  13. There are always some lost hats and gloves in my neighborhood. Sad b/c most people probably don't remember where they lost something. A central place like this would be helpful!

  16. What a fine idea for a park. There must be hats and gloves lost and found all the time.

  17. Dearest Marianne,
Really? A fence for Lost & Found items where people can check if they lost something in the park. Great idea.
    Hugs,
