Lambs

When biking around Almere I passed "the Eksternest" (Magpie nest), an education center about nature with their own sheep flock with lambs at the moment. This one was so cute licking his mother's back incessantly.

No one would look up to me all very busy with the grass.

The ear tags,  required by the Eurpean Union in 2005,  are used for identification of all domestic livestock. It always hurts me a bit to see the animals with them.

  4. At least they don't cut off their tails like they do here.

  5. There is nothing cuter in the animal world than lambs! It's interesting to me that their tails are not docked as they always are here in the US.

  8. That first shot is quite sweet indeed. Regarding your comment at Linda's blog, yes, it's the American president. There are quite a number of footprints of Johnson's legacy in her area of the US.

  9. They are absolutely adorable! I guess the ear tags are necessary, but I don't like them either.

  10. Just think of the tags as pierced ears. The lambs are so cute. I could just cuddle one.
