Rembrandt Square

We didn't have a real history of Christmas markets in the Netherlands but in recent years there are various places where commerce has found a new target audience. This market is at the Rembrandt square in Amsterdam with some stalls where you can buy and eat some Christmas related items.

A warm wool hat we don't need at the moment with unusual temperatures of 14 C (57.2 F).

Rembrandt is pensive looking down what is going on at his square.

As his "Nightwatch" figures are entertaining the tourists.

  5. Such great statuary. Here in the states Christmas is way over commercialized. The meaning is almost lost.

  9. Rembrandt doesn't look as if he is feeling very festive. He needs a Santa hat or something!
