A large group of foreign, english speaking school children was finding their way through Amsterdam.
Beware of the traffic. They looked rather young for a schooltrip abroad, but maybe I am to old to estimate the correct age. I was sixteen when I had an exchange program with school to Liverpool and stayed at an english speaking family with a girl of my age for a week. That same girl stayed at my house in Amsterdam during Easter.
Must be exciting for them to explore an other country. You'll learn more than from books.

That brings back memories. I took a group of 30, 10 and 11yr olds on a school trip to Amsterdam. They were not on an exchange trip and we stayed in a hotel outside Amsterdam but I can't remember the name of the place now. That was in 2005.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenThey look just the right age for such a trip, how exciting for them Marianne!
BeantwoordenVerwijderenThey do look quite young. I have to agree with you, travel certainly broadens the mind, probably better than just learning history or geography from a book in a classroom!
BeantwoordenVerwijderenOh the responsibility of herding so many kids about.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenAlways nice to see the world from a young age. Greetings!
BeantwoordenVerwijderenThe chaperones have their work cut out for them on a trip like that!
BeantwoordenVerwijderenIk vond dit soort trips altijd geweldig.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenRed tornado sweeps through Amsterdam :D
BeantwoordenVerwijderenThey need to have many supervisors involved.
Remember building the model of a Dutch windmill in an English grammar school as a kid. That was my field trip. :-)
BeantwoordenVerwijderenThey have nice red jackets so it's easy to see them.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenThat does seem young for a school group to be in a foreign country. I don't remember all that much from trips at that age except having fun with my friends.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenThey look young to me too. They are probably easier to keep track of with those bright red jackets!
BeantwoordenVerwijderenGood idea wearing red. The teachers can see them easily.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenExchanges like this are valuable for youngsters.
