Antique and brocante

Last weekend we had an Antique and Curiosity market in our village at the Harbour Days. I like it to watch all the old items, some of them remember me of my parents interior.

I like dolls, I played so often with them as a child and they all had their own names.

In that zinc tub at the right I had may bath in the kitchen, we didn't have a bathroom in the houses in Amsterdam during the fourties and part of the fifties. My parents had a bath in a bathhouse outside the house.

  2. One of my favourite things to do Marianne, even if I don't often come away with anything. The fun is in looking oui 😊

  6. Tegenwoordig wordt alles 'brocante' genoemd. Maar soms zitten er toch erg leuke dingen tussen!

  8. I love to look at old things for the same reason. This looks like an interesting market. I hope someone gave the MonaLisa a new home!

  9. Looks like a wonderful vintage fair and love the old dolls. I too loved my dolls and had names for them all.
