Broccante

At the "Broccante" (Antique Fair) in Almere Haven last Sunday. A silver evening bag from 1925.

So sweet someone's ballet shoes.

Many stalls with beauty along the harbour.

  1. Hoewel ik zelden wat koop vind ik het altijd erg leuk om op dit soort markten rond te kijken. Hier was ook heel wat belangstelling.

  2. Beautiful items from the past, especially that silver evening bag!

Thank you for commenting on my blog post today about the concentration camp. I am so sorry about your family and I totally understand how you feel. I felt it was important to visit this place and also to show some of my photos, given the current political climate in my own country right now. I don't think the young people demonstrating and using Nazi salutes and slogans really understand what they are associating themselves with or maybe they do, which scares me even more. You many want to not look at my blog for the next couple of days as I will post a few more photos. I have carefully chosen them because of the sensitive nature of the things I saw. I must admit that I cried several times during my visit. Hugs to you my friend!

  3. European Broccante is so much more exciting than Aussie second hand Marianne, not many treasures to be found here ☺

  6. I don't know why, but I'm always attracted to the handiwork of silversmiths.

  7. Going to markets like these are always interesting because they bring back memories of what you've seen back in the days when the items or clothes were popular. Looks like there was a great turnout.
