I had seen this train at the blog Opvallend onopvallend of fellow blogger Marleen but hadn't seen it myself yet. The orange "Kings" train went through the Netherlands in honor to the inauguration of King Willem Alexander on. April 30 and to stimulate people to use a train ride. Apparently it is still riding around as I saw it this week in Amsterdam!
It has a text at the side "Go with us from Beatrix to Alexander" which is not so up-to-date anymore.
WOW, I like this train and I would definitely
BeantwoordenVerwijderengo for a ride on it. Our trains here look like something from an "Early History" book?
I wish that the USA's cities had kept more of the trains of old; I loved traveling in them. Your photos today show a very sleek train.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenYou wouldn't be able to miss this one Marianne :) vibrant colours.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenGreat paint job!
BeantwoordenVerwijderenIf I were there visiting and someone told me what it said on the side of the train I'd be looking at my map thinking "I can't find Beatrix or Alexander on here. I don't think this is our train dear."
BeantwoordenVerwijderenDearest Marianne,
BeantwoordenVerwijderenThat is already over one month ago... but it sure looks pretty!
Hugs,
Mariette
Behoorlijk opvallend! ;)
BeantwoordenVerwijderenWel leuk dat ie nog steeds rijdt.
Zal wel veiliger zijn als de Fyra.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenGroetjes,
Filip
North Americans really need to take a look at your trains. Chicago has a great train system but the equipment is deplorable.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenIn western Canada we don't have any trains.
A great looking train a bit more modern than the one on my blog.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenbetrouwbaarder dan de Fyra!
BeantwoordenVerwijderenso bright and shiny new. And orange is trendy now. So it all works, ha.
