Fence

A fence in the garden of the Hermitage Museum in Amsterdam. I like it to see the colours of the background through the transparent flowers.

  1. I think it would be especially interesting in front of, say, a grove of trees that changed colors with the seasons or a flower garden.

  2. What a lovely pattern and very nice fence. I especially like the way it picks up the colour of the grass and agree with Revrunner.

  3. Photographing this kind of ornate fence is not easy, but you did a wonderful job! The pattern is very clear and nothing is lost by seeing through the pattern. In fact, it enhances the look of the gate.

  4. Interesting that the fence is glass on one side and wrought iron on the other. I like the pattern on the gate.

  6. I took several photos of this very fence last week! Did you see the Dining with the Tsars exhibit? My time in Amsterdam was far too short :(

  9. That is really an unusual gate, but where is the fence on the right side? Am I missing it?

  10. I like that very much. I expect the use of sunlight streaming through it would make for some varied, lovely effects.

  12. Dearest Marianne,
That is so lovely! Looks like they laser-cut the metal but with great, almost lace-like results.
Hugs and happy weekend to you!
