Yesterday we were on the way to the tulip fields in the North East polder with endless wind turbines on the dike. I don't drive so I can make photos of the ride.
Sometimes the road raises up and changes into a bridge.
Passing farmlands with cows in the open air after a winter staying in stables.
A farmer busy ploughing the land.
Huh? Don't know what the Eiffel tower is doing here.
It seems we are to early at the tulip fields, not much blooming yet.
A bit colour at last.
Well this is red isn't it?
The landscape is so flat and beautiful.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenI am so happy to see those tulips. Last week I saw a bit of it on televise and so wished that I could see them in bloom in your country! Road trips are very pleasurable when one is the passenger, enjoying the scenery and snapping photos. Thanks for your travelogue!
BeantwoordenVerwijderenNow you have a bit of the feeling how its looks like.
VerwijderenI also saw a lot of wind turbines on our way to Giethoorn.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenThat mini Eiffel Tower is so cute!
I so wish I could have seen the fields full of tulips, wow amazing colour!
I always love to see the rows of tulips in the fields - unbelievably we saw tulip fields in Kashmir, I will show them in a post soon.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenThose tulips fields are wonderful !what great colors !
BeantwoordenVerwijderenOh how I would love to be there!
BeantwoordenVerwijderenIn deze tijd is er genoeg te bekijken onderweg. Mooie Hollandse plaatjes!
BeantwoordenVerwijderenLove your road trip. That one stretch of highway must have some terrific winds.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenWell I'm certainly relieved you weren't driving AND taking pictures at the same time. :-)
BeantwoordenVerwijderenThe Eiffel tower is out of place!
BeantwoordenVerwijderenI'm looking forward to seeing the tulips here.
It was fun to travel with you and see the scenery. The red tulips are beautiful.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenthe red tulips are tremendous... Great trip...
BeantwoordenVerwijderenDearest Marianne,
BeantwoordenVerwijderenBut the last photo is full of color and thus rewarding after all. I find this the hardest thing to pin-point for anything blooming. It varies from year to year and even from week to week. But you showed some great photos, even with the bridge drawn up; interesting for most people that are not familiar with such a sight.
Hugs,
Mariette
This is a most interesting road trip with many splendid photos and much colour. I love the windmills all lined up in a row and the lovely red and pink of the tulips in bloom. I once saw an aerial photograph of an entire tulip farm with all the colours blooming - and it was a sight to behold. Thanks for the visuals from your road trip. :)
BeantwoordenVerwijderenGreat shots on the road… and I love red tulips. Are you sure you didn't go to Paris :D
