Geese

Between all the oldtimers suddenly a group of geese marched along behind a girl with a whistle.

Marching makes thirsty.

They had their own area and were part of the farmers foodmarket which took place at the same time.

  3. Dearest Marianne,
A very welcome change to daily life's views... Geese are lovely and so are ducks when following! We loved that sight in Indonesia where they marched so elegantly.
    Happy October to you,
    Mariette

  4. Nice - ff The Pied Piper of the Netherlands. Very cool indeed. They certainly are beautiful. Our own Canadian Geese have not left yet for the winter, as our weather has been so nice. They still linger in the field by the stream and the babies have grown beautifully . Lovely Photos.

  7. That would be fun to see. It surely would be easier than herding cats.

    1. No, they were not for sale, just for marching around so now and than.

  9. Red asked the question that popped into my mind....could you buy a goose to take home? I understand that geese can really be trained for simple things like following a whistle.

  11. Ik heb jarenlang in Coevorden gewoond, waar elk jaar in november de Ganzenmarkt gehouden wordt. Dit deed me daar, op kleinere schaal, meteen aan denken. Leuke foto's!
