Streetview

I am a bit strolling through old pictures, this one is from 2014 in Dublin Ireland. At the National Library this fence with photo was placed around the facade as there were works in progress going on. The photo fitted so well with the reality, as if you could see the  people walking around.
So much better than looking at an ugly orange or blue construction sail.

Pants

Do you know the feeling when you find the perfect fitting jeans? I was very glad with this one here wearing on holidays in Ireland in 2014. A few days later I  tripped over a kerbstone and fell flat on the street. I hurt my knee and the jeans had a big hole. The next days my knee was swollen and it hurt to wear tight trousers. I didn't have much other clothes to wear with me only another tight jeans.
The rest of the trip I stumbled on in pants with a hole as I we didn't visit any places where I could find a shop to buy something else.

In Kilkenny I finally found a shop where I could buy a thin wide pants, that released the sore knee. Not really my taste, it felt like I walked in my pyjama trousers in Dublin ha,ha.

Black Head

An oldie from 2014 in Ireland along the west coast near Galway Bay. The first word is in the Irish language Gealic. Gealic is still spoken by a large group of the Irish people as a second language.

In the Pub

I am not a City Daily Photo follower but I use the theme  "Coffee Houses and Cafes" today I see at other blogs. This is me in 2014 at a typical  Irish Pub. On the table is no Guinness Beer but an Irish Coffee.

And these two I shot secretly from my seat.

Good Fences

A rather clumsy fence in Londonderry, Ireland.

It belongs to a Verbal Arts Centre situated in a former primary school from 1894.

Ringbuoy

The text says it all.
This was in Ireland and the river was really wild, better not to fall in.

Monday Mural

In the village of Waterville in Ireland Charlie Chaplin spent many hollidays as you could read in My post of August 12th. As a tribute to him he had his sculpture on the boulevard but also this mural with an image from the movie "The Kid" (1921).   There is even an annual  "Charlie Chaplin Comedy Film Festival" in August in the village.

Weekend Reflection

At a playground next to a lunchroom these Irish children had a great time, but I spotted the reflection at the right as well. Linking to Weekend Reflections.

Monument to the Unknown Woman Worker

This statue of two women in Europe Buscentre is a tribute to all women from Belfast,  paid and unpaid. Belfast had in its development much to owe to hard-working women who brought the world famous linen industry to fruition. But in honor to the many other women who worked hard during the difficult period of unemployment as a result of  "The Troubles" ( the 30 year conflict between Protestants and Catholics), to maintain their families, the statue was erected. The monument is a sign of gratitude to all the women who never gave up, no matter how difficult it was sometimes.
You can see here how they,  for instance,  took over office works to keep things going, while the men were in prison. The addition of the bandages is not original and must be a joke of someone.

Monday Mural

I had to look from a distance to see the image of this mural. It is in Galway, Ireland and I don't know what it is about. The building was next to the museum at the left so maybe it is an expression of art.
See for more Monday Murals here.

Music

The Irish love music, at every corner of the street someone is playing an instrument or singing his heart out. They even have sculptures of musical intruments.
