The good days are coming back, the sun shines so the terraces in Amsterdam are placed in the streets again.

With the coats on it is pleasent to enjoy a drink and a chat in the sun.

Indian Summer

We had a wonderful Indian Summer last week so the terraces were crowded again with people enjoying the last summerdays in Amsterdam.

Beachlife

After cycling a stop at an empty terrace at the Almere beach of the IJ-lake. Look at the dark sky approaching. We speeded home with tailwind and were home before the rain came down.

Terraces

Spring has returned and so have the outside terraces. But the blankets for the cold are still at hand!

Spring again?

After the cold weather we suddenly had, the weather forecasts are better now.  Maybe we can return to the spring weather we had a few weeks ago and sit outside again.

Sunshine

A weekend full of sunshine in Amsterdam. Time to chill on a terrace, the smaller the better.

Sunny Sunday

After days of awful weather sun at last. We drove to the Photo Museum in The Hague and watched a retrospective of the photographer "Emiel van Moerkerken" (1916-1995). I didn't know the man or his work, some old photo's of Amsterdam were pretty, but the manipulated ones I didn't like so much.

But the terrace was great and we had a drink and a nice Tapas, which we discovered lately and is so delicious, mmmm.

Saturday morning at eight we woke up by a noisy machine, Danny was in the garden! He had brought two pals with him and they were working very quick. I hardly had time enough to grap my camera, before it was fisnished.

It is huge and high! We can perform a play or something like that. The sand has to keep on it untill the rain has washed it in, so I cannot show you the pavement very well. But I like the light colour, it matches with the bricks of the house.
