 When the heat is on, it is better to cyle than to walk.

We have nice bike paths without much traffic.

We pass the  travelling around flock of sheep (the lawnmowers ) who are looking for some shadow under the trees.

And the mechanical lawnmowers are also doing there work.

We reach the dike along the  Gooi lake.

The lake is used in summer by many "pleasure boats" as we call them, people who like to sail around just for fun.

Bycicle

 I like cycling very much so my husband bought us once  a folding bicycle that we could take  with us in the car and have a ride in the country. We drove to a wood land and unfolded the bicycles and off hubby went on a bumpy wood path that went up and down. I followed slowly on that strange bike and felt very uncomfortable. I had the feeling I could fall off my bike any minute. At some point I stepped down and refused to go on, I was to scared. This bike I never used anymore I had my own normal bike to ride around everywhere. My son in law has one of his own to get by train to his work and we gave mine to my daughter so they can both go anywhere by train as they have no car.

There is no bridge in Amsterdam without parked bicycles attached to the fencing.

Amsterdam

I was a bit tired and sat on a bench in Amsterdam close to a canal and this was my view right in front of me. The poor owner of this bike will not come far without his front wheel, or he did it himself to avoid that someone would steel his bike. We will never know.

The Netherlands and Amsterdam without a bicycle is unthinkable. Little children are transported in a seat at the back or in front.

When they are a little older they have there own bike.

That they don't put away always very properly.
