Rotterdam

This huge ship a brandnew "Trailing suction hopper dredger" was docked at the cruiseterminal in Rotterdam. The next day it would be baptized by Queen Maxima because it has the name of her daughter Amalia.

Stained Glass

What I liked very much in the Maritime Museum were these stained glass windows. They hail from the office of shipping firm Vinke and show their period of activities.

This one shows their first building where the firm had their office at the Gelderse kade (quay)  in Amsterdam and their first ship.

And here you see burning and sinking ships in the East Sea during World War II.

The windows date from 1950.
