Keep on dreaming

In the "Gemeente Museum" in The Hague, uses Hans van Bentem (b.the Hague 1956) his unbridled imagination and energy to create a constant stream of artworks, each more brilliant, coruscating and colourful than the last. It is all made of porcelain.

A crystal four-poster bed entitled Heaven, with lights that gradually come on and go out as day changes to night. The bed is the artist's idea of the ultimate chandelier.

The artist has such a great imagination and production, each time I saw something new in  the rooms.

The gleaming installation of pure white Chinese porcelain sculptures of various body parts on a bed of lotus flowers, stones and lumps of rock.

  2. Just looked at all the posts I'd missed since my last bezoek. Zeer interessant!

We were in Holland in 2008 - couldn't believe that we had to pay for parking EVERYWHERE - even to get groceries ! The only place we didn't have to pay was at Kinderdijk - and I thought for sure we'd have to pay there (I was reminded by your post 'Memory picture').
