This is a piece of a mural in the Amstel train station in Amsterdam, made by Peter Alma in 1939. There are two huge murals of him in the station of 20m x 9m. I couldn't manage to get the whole picture because of all kind of furniture and trees in the station hall but found on the internet a complete picture. See for more murals at Monday Mural
Die zijn prachtig zeg, goed gevonden.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenThe far-away shot really shows how big it is.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenOngelooflijk groot! En erg mooi.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenHeel mooi, ik ben verbaast dat het nog in zo'n goede staat is.

Nicely done! It shows well in the big shot.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenthis has lasted a long time!
BeantwoordenVerwijderenThat is a big mural! Very nice.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenI'm surprised to learn this mural is from 1939. It seems so fresh and modern. And HUGE!! I'm guessing it honors the development of transportation especially train travel. The men look like they're in 18th century clothes, which confuses me a little.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenNice job!
BeantwoordenVerwijderenPeace :)
Oops, hit Publish too soon. Meant to say that despite my confusion, the composition works well and is graceful despite its size. Thank you for contributing to Monday Mural.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenone needs a giant mural in a train station and this one with the various trains over the years is wonderful.
BeantwoordenVerwijdereni have been at that station quite often, but i dont think i ever really saw this mural...
