Saturday at the Noordermarket in Amsterdam. It was still very cold and someone had cared for this statue and put a scarf around the neck of the girl. These are two figures of a wellknow childrensbook
"Woutertje Pieterse" written in 1890 by
"Multatuli". about an Amsterdam dreamer boy Woutertje and his friend Femke.
Mooie sierlijke lantaarnpaal op de achtergrond.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenI love some people's sense of humour.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenThese statues help to keep parts of culture alive. yes it looks cold.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenIt still looks quite cool there so the scarf is very appropriate and considerate!
BeantwoordenVerwijderenHow cute ... the scarf adds a nice touch.

BeantwoordenVerwijderenGood to see someone has a sense of humour even in the cold.
BeantwoordenVerwijderensomeone, somewhere has a photo of themselves putting that scarf on - that is their piece of adding a little humour to the day and how many people have passed this statue now and taken a second look and smiled. Neat and nice post.
