Lots of tourists in Amsterdam at the moment. This is the queue at the Anne Frank house that goes on around the corner in the back.
The activity in the canals, locals and tourists all want to be there.
These girls had no notion where to go and almost bumped against some boats. The guy prefers to watch the tour on his I-phone!
My Mother bought me this book as a young girl and it is one of my treasures. I cannot recall how many times I read it. I am amazed by the traffic on the canal and having a giggle as I look at the photo of the girls navigating their boat :)Have a wonderful day Marianne.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenI wish I were there touring.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenOr maybe he's calling your version of 911. :-)
BeantwoordenVerwijderenThere was a good sized line at the Frank House when we were there. ....but we didn't have to wait because we had gotten our tickets online.. I highly recommend! I don't think I would be brave enough
BeantwoordenVerwijderenTo navigate those busy canals....
Everyone seems to be enjoying the summer weather, sightseeing, and boating.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenYou show lots of fun here. It's amazing to see such a huge line up for the Ann Frank house. I'm sure many people watched the girls in the boat and had a good laugh.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenI suppose that would be one site I'd miss. I detest standing in lines.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenhee hee I like your last pic and caption. I wouldn't queue like that I'm afraid.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenSuper summer shots Marianne..oh my that's a long queue, but it would be pretty fascinating.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenits so funny you are much more active in amsterdam than i am... i am still getting used.. (and i used to live in utrecht, which i still prefer, i think)
BeantwoordenVerwijderenIt is not your town (yet), but Utrecht is a smaller Amsterdam I think. I like Utrecht too, you know your way there pretty soon. Amsterdam takes more time to get to know. Hubby Stef knows the city very well, better than me, I just walk with (after) him. What's very nice is the Noordermarkt in the Jordaan on saturday food and all kind of stuff, and on monday second hand clothes. And a piece of appletaart at Cafe Winkel on the market, delicious! The Haarlemmerstreet and Westerpark are also nice.
VerwijderenWat een drukte Toen ik er was in june verleden jaar was het gelukkig minder druk
BeantwoordenVerwijderenWe stood om the rain to get in to the Anne Frank house but it was worth it. I loved touring it and I don't think anyone can really get a feel unless you go through it.
