Once a year Amsterdam has the Festival of the Rolling Kitchens in the Westerpark with dozens of mobile kitchens with all kinds of food and drinks and life music. After a rainy cold start at Thursday the weather changed fortunately in warm temperatures.
Hubby SC had a coconut juice drink.
There was music.
You could make your own ice-cream by biking very speedy to make the barrels turn around very fast.
Tomorrow some more pictures.
This looks like another fun day that I missed out on. :) You did a great job in photographing the event.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenThat's one WHALE of a drink s.c. is quaffing there! That would be my choice for today's City Daily theme. ;-)
BeantwoordenVerwijderenLooks like a FUN event! I can nearly smell it all the way, up north to Stavanger.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenThis would be such a fun day.....I love this atmosphere - great photos - looking forward to more. Have a wonderful day.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenHow fun. I'll have one of everything!
BeantwoordenVerwijderenWhat did your sample?
Since I adore gelato and ice cream I would have enjoyed making my own, using the bicycle! What a wonderful festival...so many choices!!
BeantwoordenVerwijderenDearest Marianne,
BeantwoordenVerwijderenWhat a great idea and it looks like a great turnout!
Happy June to you.
Hugs,
Mariette
Whatever next? Bicycle to turn an ice cream freezer. We always had to turn I by hand.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenHow fun! We have something similar here every week. It's called Food Truck Thursday.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenHow fun! We are never there when this occurs since we usually go in the fall/winter time. I like the idea of making my own ice cream!
BeantwoordenVerwijderenThis looks like a lot of fun. We have a food truck street festival twice a year, but there are just food trucks, no entertainment (and annoyingly, nowhere to sit to eat).
BeantwoordenVerwijderenVolgens mij heb ik er al eens eerder foto's van gezien. Lijkt me ontzettend leuk!
BeantwoordenVerwijderenA little something for everyone, it would appear!
BeantwoordenVerwijderenLike Lois wrote, we have Food Trucks, same thing. The more ratty ones serving Mexican food are fondly referred to as Roach Coaches.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenoh wat gezellig. All the nice food and to eat that at that high table must be loads of fun
BeantwoordenVerwijderenI have seen smoothie makers run by bicycles, but never the ice cream maker run by a bicycle.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenAwesome. Totally love it!
Peace :)
