This is a work of art in a pond at the Prince Park district of Rotterdam "Prins Alexander". SC is making a picture of me and the waving one is also an Alexander but not a Prince.
This is the complete "Square Island" art work made by "Frans de Wit". In the middle of this concrete structure is a square. This gap represents the lowest point in the Netherlands: seven meters below sea level. The construction of the square and circle, forming a scale with increasing beam and meassuring 55x55 meters. Have a look at SC's blog for more pictures here.
I must say you and SC really get around. Pun intended. :)
BeantwoordenVerwijderenI think it's kind of funny the Dutch are so flamboyant about their low places. :-)
BeantwoordenVerwijderenThis structure is very different - does it serve a purpose or have a restaurant within the square or just a more or less square object du art on top of the water? Not really fascinated by this art. Not real pretty to look at, like most of your discoveries are. Have a wonderful day :)
BeantwoordenVerwijderenIt was high noon and the battle of the dueling cameras began at Square Island.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenDat is echt een enorm kunstwerk!
BeantwoordenVerwijderenIt's an impressive structure!
BeantwoordenVerwijderenBeautiful structure and nice surrounding too.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenPeace :)
