In the World Cup fever all over the world everybody is becoming rather patriotic so I thought this picture is appropriate for the occasion. The photo can be seen in the photography museum FOAM in Amsterdam and is made by Annegien van Doorn. In her multimedia installation "Domestic Science" she sets in motion everyday substances such as toothpaste, custard and mayonaise. Have a look at the FOAM link above to see how she explaines her art in little movie.
Anyway the Netherlands football team is playing today against Australia, we keep our fingers crossed!
So my just getting up out of bed this morning can be considered a "minor event" and art? :-)
BeantwoordenVerwijderenI doubt that we have a chance after Netherlands trounced the number one team Spain. We are ranked 62nd but I will be watching and hoping. We also have two fullbacks injured Oh well it is good experience for our new young team. I love watching the games.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenToothpaste, custard, or mayo, which one? I'm guessing toothpaste!
BeantwoordenVerwijderenI'm hoping it is fluffy cream, but probably toothpaste....maybe. You never know about the world of sports - sometimes the team least though to win and perhaps only in 62nd ranked, but could surprise everyone and move on up to the finals - its never over, till its over, right. Have a wonderful day.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenHope that the Netherlands team is victorious! The image is a little unusual.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenGood Luck with the match to y'all.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenYour picture and FOAM are artistic.
However, the picture reminds me of a magic trick I witnessed; where, the magician spit out may be 12 Table Tennis balls out of his mouth. It was very entertaining.
Peace :)
It is a funny pic!
BeantwoordenVerwijderenGrappig :)
BeantwoordenVerwijderenOh that is funny.I hope The Netherlands won?
BeantwoordenVerwijderenDearest Marianne,
