Ireland, day 7

This is the village Adare, where every house seems to wear a hat.

Look how thick the tached roof is.

We are driving in the county Kerry now and for the first time we see a beach life along the coast.

At the peninsula Dingle we visit the colourful painted village Dingle. In my enthusiasm with making photo's I was not watching out and fell on the street, hurt my knees and elbow, auch! Despite some scratches and a bit painfull knees I could fortunately go on.

We drive along the Atlantic coast and make a stop at Slea Head. The souvenir sellers in Ireland often make music to sell their products.

This is the Gallarus Oratory, a church in the shape of an upside down boat in Smerwick. It was built between the 6th and 9th century and is the best example of an early Christian Irish Church. It is made of stacked stones in a way the rain water could run off.
