New built apartments in the "Oostpoort" quarter in Amsterdam. This used to be an area with old to small houses in poor condition from the 19th century. They are all demolished and a whole new quarter with houses and shops has been realized.

Very curvy. Was this also, maybe, a break with the past?
BeantwoordenVerwijderenI rather like the olds buildings, but if they couldn't save them, then I am sure this is a great improvement
BeantwoordenVerwijderenInteresting and different shape that the buildings have.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenI am looking at the lovely patio's, especially the large one in this last photo. WOW. I like the second building better.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenYour architecture is far more interesting than anything that is being build in our Twin Cities in MN.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenOn the top photo there is fantastic architecture. Love this buildning.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenVery neat-looking buildings!
BeantwoordenVerwijderenWhat interesting buildings! The architecture is certainly different from the norm, with all the curves.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenIt's not so often that one can see so much curves in architecture . Interesting !
BeantwoordenVerwijderenHet lijkt me wat minder praktisch binnen met meubels en zo, maar het ziet er verder wel mooi uit.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenIf you have to live in an apartment then these look very interesting with their large bay windows and balconies.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenThe architectural style, those curves particularly, appeals to me.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenCool architecture. Ziet er leuk en gezellig uit
BeantwoordenVerwijderenThe new buildings look nice and are necessary, but I hate to see the old ones destroyed.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenDearest Marianne,
BeantwoordenVerwijderenIndeed if they were old and way too small, this is a very surprising new style. LOVE the endless bay windows for plenty of light and walls will be found on the inside for placing furniture against. Smart concept and sunny looking!
Hugs,
Mariette
PS Hope you had a lovely Saint Nicholas evening with your loved ones and lots of laughter with the poems and such.
Unusual shapes and beautiful large balconies! I like that there are so many windows too.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenI really like the architecture of these apartments. They must be very light with all these windows, and the balconies are a nice touch too.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenI quite like the style of these apartments Marianne, it's hard to make a judgement if they look better than the old houses without seeing them.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenthis is not a part i know....
