Early in the morning we got into the tourbus for a drive of 750 km to Copenhagen.
We had a short stop in the city Groningen in the north of our country, to pick up some more passengers. This is a view at the magnificent Groninger Museum built by architect Alessandro Mendini.
Everything went well until we got stuck in a giant traffic jam near Bremen and Hamburg in Germany. It took us two hours of delay.
Driving through Germany on our way to the ferry from Puttgarden to Rodby, Danmark.
Even the train got on the ferry with its own tracks.
SC on the way to Danmark.
We met the ferry going the other way around.
At lot of wind turbines in sea.
There were enough strong winds, I got a whole new hairstyle.
Here we are in Danmark, still 170 km to go to Copenhagen.
After a 13,5 hour drive we finally arrived at our hotel in Copenhagen, a design by Danish architects "3XN".
At 10 o'clock in the evening we had at last our diner which was delicious.
I had no idea that trains were transported by ferry.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenTrain on the ferry - WOW - I really do live in a tiny town. What beauty in your photos and I could have loved that last diner. Love the new hairdo of both you and SC and the design of that new hotel is beautiful and very different.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenYou are a very good tour guide and I enjoyed every photo that gives a photo tour of the journey. Love the hairstyle on both of you!!
BeantwoordenVerwijderenWow, great!

BeantwoordenVerwijderenWind turbines in the sea and a train on the ferry, that's a first for me! Glad you enjoyed your trip to Copenhagen, a long bus trip though...
BeantwoordenVerwijderenThat hotel looks interesting.
What a fab trip Marianne, except for the traffic jams :) haha! the new hairdo made me smile, I've had a similar one many times :)
BeantwoordenVerwijderenThe hotel design's very different!
BeantwoordenVerwijderenTrain on a ferry. That's a first for me. Cool hair style but it's not you. I always like your food shots too.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenThat's a long day of travel. I'm sure it will all be worth while. Have a good holiday.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenWat een reis! Je moet er wel wat voor over hebben. Leuke reisreportage, en je nieuwe coupe ziet er hip uit! ;)
BeantwoordenVerwijderenCute picture of you...both of them. I am amazed by the train on the ferry!
BeantwoordenVerwijderenYou had a long day but saw many interesting things.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenI've never heard of a train on a ferry. And your new hair style made me laugh!
BeantwoordenVerwijderenLet lone a train on the ferry. Never been on one of those trains.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenCoffee is on
Dat was een lange en vermoeiende dag. Hopelijk hadden jullie een heerlijk bed om weer goed uitgerust de stad te verkennen.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenDearest Marianne,
BeantwoordenVerwijderenOh, you had me laugh out loud with your remark about your whole new hairdo!
But what a luxury in fact, minus the mishap of a traffic jam that took 2 hours. Didn't know they had roll on trains getting on the ferry. We both learned something from you; thanks for sharing.
Hugs,
Mariette
