Almere woods

In the woods of Almere.

There are many elderberries.

We saw several dead little toads or frogs on the paths. I think they died of heat and didn't make it to the water.

We even have a little "mountain" in progress. It will take several years to get the resources they require to build this project.

And as usual this summer, you never know how long the sun will shine. When leaving the woods dark clouds approached very quickly.

    It appears there are not that much forest around in your area so Almere woods must be very special.

    Ja dichtbij huis is het vaak ook erg mooi. Ik vind de ruimte in de onderste foto prachtig.

    Lovely woods and healthy elderberries.
    Guess that frog dehydrated... not from heat I guess because if that would be a factor, we would sure not have as many as we do. Each night we get a frog-concert!
