Amsterdam has many bridges and to pass them with an open boat you sometimes have to duck for not hurting your head. I wondered how they would deal with the high decorations at the Gay Pride Parade last Saturday.
I saw they were prepared and some started to pull the peacock down.
It was very flexible to get it down.
And there they go.

BeantwoordenVerwijderenClever thinking when all was put together for this big parade.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenI can hear the cry now, "Protect the peacock!" :-)
BeantwoordenVerwijderenWonderful medley of photos that tell the story.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenA great series of shots telling a funny story.

BeantwoordenVerwijderenNow that's forward thinking for sure Marianne :) you made me smile with this one, merci beaucoup.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenThat works great!
BeantwoordenVerwijderenWhat a clever design, glad they thought about the bridges and didn't make a rigid peacock!
BeantwoordenVerwijderenLots of thought and planning went into that float.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenThat would do the trick!
BeantwoordenVerwijderenFunny!
BeantwoordenVerwijderenWow, that must have been quite an event ! Yes I know these low bridges very well !
BeantwoordenVerwijderenNice. Thy had a very clever idea.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenDaar was duidelijk over nagedacht.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenI guess the bridges were made for something else but there's a way around most things.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenDearest Marianne,
BeantwoordenVerwijderenHilarious for pulling the peacock down!
It is a laughable parade anyway... Things have changed over the ages!
Hugs,
Mariette
