When I was in Copenhagen last June the Parlement elections would take place in a few days. So the whole town was decorated with billboards of the candidats to vote for.
It was remarkable to see so many female candidats.
At last one man.
And a collection together on one pole.
Linking to "Signs, signs"
I'm sure people in the town were fed up with all the signs leading up to the election.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenOne day women will rule the world.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenInderdaad opvallend!
BeantwoordenVerwijderenIs this a trend in Amsterdam--more women than men in local elections?
BeantwoordenVerwijderenI'm surprised with so many women candidates. But I also think all those billboards make the towns look untidy.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenGood to see that the political campaigning goes on in other places as well as the U.S. We are more than a year away from national elections and the TV coverage of all the candidates is already annoying.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenA nicer looking bunch of faces running for office than what we have to look at here in the States.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenI think it's fantastic to see so many female faces Marianne, our government is sadly lacking in female ministers, although our deputy Prime Minister is female and a WA female, the best kind :)
BeantwoordenVerwijderenOur federal elections are coming up in October, but there's a local bylaw preventing candidate signs from being erected anywhere for two months before the election, so for a few more days at least we won't have to see them.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenI hope your elections are not a year away like those in the US. The news already saturates us with the future elections and they include mainly men candidates. It would be nice to have more women running like in your area.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenGreat for so many women to be involved in politics.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenIt's the same in every democracy I guess. In the U.S. The roadsides are a mess right before elections.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenWe have election signs popping up all over the place now. The election isn't till October so the signs will be eyesores by then.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenO ja, vreselijk, het hele land was vol gehangen met die borden.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenInterestingly, Borgen is currently being shown on tv here.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenCan't wait for our upcoming election, the clowns are already out and about. Tom The Backroads Traveller
BeantwoordenVerwijderenNot sure what their politics are like, but your candidates look much better than ours. Like that there are many women candidates. That's a move in the right direction.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenA very forward thinking country.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenNice to see women running for office.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenFrankly My Dear
Nice to see so many women. You don't find them so often here (except Angie, of course).
BeantwoordenVerwijderenWonderful to see posters of women running for office.
