Last night I was invited for a Christmasdiner at the Public Library where I have worked for 25 years. I am already retired for six years now but each year the former employees are still invited with the other colleagues for a dinner. When leaving everybody received this huge heavy Christmas gift.
Look what was inside, all kind of Italian products to have a nice afternoon and also a 20 euro book token! Amazing isn't it, I haven't even worked for it.

BeantwoordenVerwijderenI, too, am lucky to have taught in a school that has an annual luncheon for retired staff and faculty. It's a wonderful way to renew friendships and to support the school. We have never received such a wonderful gift as you have! It's great to be valued!!
