This is one of the first buildings, dating from 1976, of our new built home town Almere Haven in the Flevopolder. I had a radically renovation the past months and was festive reopened yesterday. It houses a Public Library, a theater, a cafe , exhibitions spaces, a community center and some municipal offices. In short a multifunctional building for everyone.
It is named "Corrosia" after the brown corten steel used for the facade. Its popularly name is however "the Rust Bucket".
A look at the inside.
The exhibition area.
Lindas e belas fotografias.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenUm abraço e bom Domingo.
Nice renovation and a lot of different uses for it too.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenI love this "Rust Bucket" and could spend some time here. A very nice renovation indeed. Have a nice day.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenIt just occurred to me that you have so much space for galleries and museums because you have amassed so much over a long period of time. Our history is brief and we don't have o many things to keep and display.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenLeave it to the public to name something the architect or artist would not be very pleased with.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenDearest Marianne,
BeantwoordenVerwijderenA fun name for this unique building in the early history of Almere Haven.
Hugs and Happy Valentine's evening,
Mariette
Looks like a perfect place to gather.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenI think the idea of a café is brilliant!
BeantwoordenVerwijderenIt is obviously a multi-purpose centre. So smart and so forward-looking!
BeantwoordenVerwijderenIt looks like a nice place. That is a funny nickname!
