The NEMO Science Museum for children in Amsterdam, is built in 1997 by Italian architect "Renzo Piano"(1937). It is built on the foundations of the IJ-tunnel and its shape represents the entrance of the tunnel below but than mirrored. It has a deck terrace on top where you can enjoy a view over the city and relax in the sunshine. We have a real hot summerday today more than 30 degrees C (86F) !
That is a strange eye catching sight to see. Enjoy the heat wave.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenEnjoy the summer day Marianne. I remember visiting this wonderful Museum, but the terrace was closed for renovations then. It must be a wonderful place to spend a sunny afternoon.
