Our local sheep herd is back in our village Almere Haven. They are the natural lawn mowers in our surroundings and were moved from their winter stable to the lawns recently.
I am always happy to see them unexpectedly when making a walk.
And they are happy to see me too apparently.
Lovely, and I know just how you feel too. Our home is surrounded by Common land which is filled with cows during the summer months, and they too will be arriving back this coming Sunday.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenInteresting... ingenuous way to trim grass.

That is a lot of sheep!
BeantwoordenVerwijderenHow I love seeing these animals who always remind me of William Blake's poetry.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenReal country life and free grass mowing too :)
BeantwoordenVerwijderenThere looks to be lots of work for them to do!
BeantwoordenVerwijderenThey must be glad to get outdoors after the winter.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenI bet they are happy to be back among all the green grass!
BeantwoordenVerwijderenAltijd zo leuk om te zien. Best een grote kudde!
BeantwoordenVerwijderenFree grass to eat, looks like you got some takers. :)
BeantwoordenVerwijderenBeing in the city the sheep probably get used to people.
BeantwoordenVerwijdereneen kudde die naam waardig Marianne
BeantwoordenVerwijderenhier zag je weinig schapen om het gras op dijken ed kort te houden
maar daar komt gelukkig verandering in
