Sign

The river Vecht in Weesp has many drawbridges which are often open to let pass the many boats.
Traffic has to wait and the motorists are requested to turn off the engine by this sign at the bottom of the bridge. Linking to "signs, signs2"

  1. Chicago is another city where there are drawbridges for letting boats through. I worked there for two years and would see the bridges go up all the time. I miss seeing that.

  3. Cool bridge!

We have a couple of bridges here that have to be raised or moved for certain boats to pass through, though the systems in both cases are different from that way of doing it.
