Since yesterday we have an official heatwave, temperatures of 35 C (95 F) or more will be the norm this week. It is the hottest summer since 1976.
That brought me back to memories of that summer when we lived in Amsterdam in an apartment on the third floor in a busy street with lots of traffic. We had a small balcony with shadow where I had put a bath for my little daughter of 17 months old to cool down a bit.
And we spent many hours in the nearby park at the playground.
Baby number two was already on the way but we survived that summer. and so we will this one.
Belas fotografias e como é bom recordar.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenUm abraço e boa semana.

BeantwoordenVerwijderenWe are suffering here too, at least our garden is. That last photo is a lovely one of you.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenThat's very hot for your country.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenThat is so hot, we are cooler but humid. I have heard about the hot summer of 1976, it was mentioned in a few novels that I read. Stay cool!
BeantwoordenVerwijderenThis summer it has been very hot in Toronto as well. The humidity is suffocating.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenSorry that you are having such heat. Texas is super hot. Reports of 109 F
BeantwoordenVerwijderenLove the old pictures
I think the older we get the tougher it is to put up with the heat.
