The "Metz" building used to be a very pretty small departmentstore specialized in beautiful fabrics and arty artifacts with tasteful display windows and a restaurant at the top with a radiant view over Amsterdam. It has got bankrupt and was taken over by "Abercombie and Fitz" which blinded all the display windows with black paper, put the speakers on loud music and had no restaurant on top anymore. I have never been in there anymore. But the name "Metz" is still visible on top against the blue sky. Linking to Skywatch Friday"
