Gay Pride Parade

The Gay Pride Canalparade in Amsterdam is every year a great event in the city. The whole town is packed with people along the canals to see the boats with costumes and music. 

It feels like carnaval.

It was so crowded I only could make photos with the camera above my head not seeing anything  hoping for the best. I was surprised with the result.

Confetti bombs.



It was hot but the perfect day to celebrate to live in a country where everybody can be his-/herself without ristrictions.

    Wow! What a crowd!! Although probably the weather was a mite comfortably warm, it was perfect for the event.

    What an enormous colourful crowd - I love it when I take a photo not knowing what the result will be and then find it has turned out well.

    Wow... look at all the people. It must have been terrible in the past to hide their sexual preference. Things have changed for the better.

    I'm so impressed with the size of the crowds. That is an amazing turnout. Much bigger than the pride parade here. Your photos are great. I love the boat covered in pink!
