We had a meeting at the market with good old Sinterklaas and his servants Piet (Pete) last Friday in Almere Haven. The evening of December 5th we celebrate his arrival with presents for the family.
Love the picture. I never knew of this tradition until I lived in the Netherlands. I liked that the Sinterklass visit was separated from the Christian observance. My daughter left carrots in a wooden shoe for Sinterklass’s horse.
