Dutch Mountain

We have a mountain in Almere. It used to be a heap of waste, but has turned into a green mountain you can walk up. The sheep love it too.

And walk up the path with you.

Come on!.

The path circles up to the top.

These are half way.

There are signs aside you can see how far you are.

We made it to the top with a fancy seat to take a rest. The view is not specatacular, only green trees, so I didn't make a photo.

  1. Nice to see that the mound of garbage has turned into something useful.

  3. What a nice idea. I have seen hills of covered waste here....but never turned into a delightful place to take a stroll....and what a bonus the sheep are.

  4. What a lovely way to change something from not so appealing, to a lovely walk. How nice that the sheep are sometimes walking companions 🐑

  5. In Wijster in Drenthe heb je ook zo'n afvalberg waar je naar boven kunt lopen, en ook fietsen. Leuk dat je kunt zien hoe hoog je bent.

  7. What wonderful photos and a great way to spend a day. You reminded me of an old movie I saw years ago called "The Englishman Who Went Up a Hill but Came Down a Mountain."
