I was a bit tired and sat on a bench in Amsterdam close to a canal and this was my view right in front of me. The poor owner of this bike will not come far without his front wheel, or he did it himself to avoid that someone would steel his bike. We will never know.
Yeah, I kind of think the owner just took the front wheel, like you say, for security purposes. It's too nice a bike to simply have abandoned.
