The Hermitage Museum in Amsterdam does not have only Russian art items.
In the basement are some huge portraits of old Dutch masters. This time they made a funny twist to put some photo portraits of wellknown Dutch people between the paintings, dressed in the costumes of a historical person.
Ruud Gullit was a famous professional footballer as you can read here.
Belos quadros e aproveito para desejar uma boa semana.

prettige dag
Ruud Gullit looks good dressed like this Marianne, rather regal 😊
BeantwoordenVerwijderenHow fun! I stayed at a hotel in Seattle last year that had portraits of famous people from Seattle dressed like this. It was fun to see.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenThe outfit appears to suit the footballer well.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenIk had ‘m eerst ook niet herkend. Bijzonder dit!
BeantwoordenVerwijderenWhat a clever idea. I think it makes you examine the paintings/photos more closely looking at the clothing
BeantwoordenVerwijderenHe looks good dressed in a different era.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenFun to dress up as another person....and it made it more enjoyable for the patrons. I dressed in costume once for a party. We were supposed to dress like a presidents wife. I tried to look like Jackie Kennedy, but folks thought that I was Mamie Eisenhower ☹️
BeantwoordenVerwijderenSo much to enjoy and appreciate in your city, M!
BeantwoordenVerwijderenWat een leuk idee is dat. Ik had Gullit trouwens niet meteen herkend
BeantwoordenVerwijderenThat is creative.
