The interior of the old Stock Exchange building in Amsterdam, with a tile tableau on the wall entitled "the Past" made by artist Jan Toorop. Linking to "Monday Murals"
This is stunning. It certainly has the right amount of detail. Toorop was a great muralist. He was great at detail. I loved how you captured the mural with the Christmas tree on the right side. A great way to close out 2019. Happy New Year, too.
I seem to remember this. Isn't this where we had coffee when we visited Amsterdam? Nice one Marianne, thanks for contributing and have a great 2020!

BeantwoordenVerwijderenIt does show how some work hard and others have different qualities.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenInteresting one, and so showing today´s times, too...
Jan Toorop died in 1928 so that must be a very historic mural. I looked him up: his works are very appealing. Thanks for the nice image.

BeantwoordenVerwijderenI think I'd be nervous if I was dining directly beneath that sword point!
