I can't imagine palm trees thriving in Amsterdam.
they will probably do a little cross breeding and develop a hardier palm and then what do you know? Palm trees grow in Holland.
We've been, I think, at the northern edge of where palms thrive naturally. But, as you say, that may be changing here, too.
