I don't if this is still true or not. The Netherlands continues to send 20,000 bulbs to Canada each year (10,000 from the Royal Family and 10,000 from the Dutch Bulb Growers Association).
Yes I know, it is a tribute of the Royal family to the Canadians who hosted Princes Juliana and her children during the WW 2.
