We had high hopes for the Netherlands at The European Football Championship last weeks. Streets turned orange, our national colour to support the team. In the first round the Dutch team was beaten three times and had to leave the tournement. This is already more than three weeks ago but in the centre of Amsterdam you still see the remains of the ornaments swinging in the wind. Just to remember the debacle?
Win or lose it was still a fun time. In Toronto there were some amazing celebrations when Spain won.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenAh, I am so sorrry! Losses are hard to accept sometime, but...there's always next time! That's a small consolation but sometimes the best react for a sport's disappointment.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenMakes for a festive setting to mourn their losses :(
BeantwoordenVerwijderenhahaha. still there?! im surprised! :)
BeantwoordenVerwijderenbut well, in the us it often looks like this (but with american flag.. ;) ) for no reason...
Ah well, can't win them all! :)
BeantwoordenVerwijderenGroetjes,
Filip
That is unusual for the Netherlands, they usually do well. My Aussie team also wear orange, They were originally mostly Dutch players but not any more.
