In the Gemeente Museum in The Hague these special Delftware or Delft pottery pieces were on show on mirrors. The pottery making dates from the 16th century in the city of Delft, and is a type of pottery in which a white glaze is applied, usually decorated with metal oxides. But these ones are modern made pieces and look quite funny with a singing teakettle.

Unusual, but they look elegant on that mirror.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenI like the tea kettle piece. Just don't bump into the display case.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenThese are very ornate. It's surprising what they were able to do with the technology they had in the 1600's
BeantwoordenVerwijderenNow is the nearest one a careful pile of different pieces or all one big piece cleverly designed to look like a pile. Interesting. I'd be walking past very lightly on my feet.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenThis is so interesting and I love the stacking idea - the mirror really reflects the pile - so NEAT :)
BeantwoordenVerwijderenJe zou denken dat het elk moment kan omvallen, maar dat zal vast gezichtsbedrog zijn.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenwow they look amazing. They are like pieces of art and I love the colours. The little kettle on top is brilliant
BeantwoordenVerwijderenVery unusual pottery and perfectly displayed for reflection lovers like me. :-)
BeantwoordenVerwijderenDid the guard prevent you from making further pictures?
BeantwoordenVerwijderenOh no, it was allowed to make pictures.
Verwijderenoh my gosh. The pottery looks impossible to transport!
