Last Sunday we had a Brocante in our little city Almere Haven as part of the Harbour days.
There were really pretty authentic things to see.
Old dutch wooden skates on which everyone of my age had to learn to skate and the adults used them too. There were no skates with shoes at that time yet.
What to think about your own "Donald Duck" chair?
The weather was great with lots of sunshine, but it was the last summer day we had, now the weather has changed in rain and low temperatures, we are moving to autumn, up to coats and boots....
This woman was enjoying the sun on her own boat along the brocante not noticing the crowds passing by.
That chair is so unusual. Good find!
BeantwoordenVerwijderenI could spend hours here
BeantwoordenVerwijderenYou have some of the most interesting photos! Thanks for taking us along to so many interesting and fun places this summer.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenOh Marianne - how wonderful was this. I could spend many hours here pondering over great treasures. The chair is a really neat find and all the most interesting antiques. I am sure you had a wonderful time by the photos in your post. I love the woman sitting on her boat, reading and taking it all in. Very Nice.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenThat chair is too cute! I love events like this....and would also enjoy having lunch with the lady on the boat!
BeantwoordenVerwijderenSo glad the weather stayed clear for the Brocante Marianne. More people enjoying and looking to find a bargain..
BeantwoordenVerwijderenBrocante means ??? It appears like our flea markets. I like your pictures which gives me an idea for next Sunday's market - to take photos of the entire assortment to be had rather than individual items. That lady has a fine looking boat. I admire that lifestyle but I need room to move, on land. You can keep the Donald Duck chair.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenDearest Marianne,
BeantwoordenVerwijderenLucky that the sun was out; that makes strolling alongside those stalls so much more enjoyable.
Hugs,
Mariette
The wooden skates are really cool. I've never seen them before.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenVolgens mij een gezellige en geslaagde dag geweest. Groetjes, Dietmut
BeantwoordenVerwijderenIk vind het altijd erg leuk om op dit soort markten rond te kijken,er is zoveel te zien.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenLeuk zo'n houten bootje. Mooi foto's.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenGroetjes,
Filip
OMG, I do love a flea market. I saw several items in your photos that would tempt me, including those ice skates. Wish the scientists would invent teleportation so I could beam over in an instant and go shopping. Thanks for this post.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenah, there is nothing like browsing around a market on a beautiful day.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenI hope you are well, Bieb!
what a lovely market. I had skates like that, on which I learned to skate around a castle. A fun market and the boat is cool as well
BeantwoordenVerwijderenThat Donald Duck chair sure could be a conversation piece. I liked that first photo with the hats - very charming.
